I like to read. A lot.
I also have a lot to say about what I read….
The ‘advanced reader’ title awarded to adolescents never truly deserts the subsequent adult. Graduated from school but still hanging-on to that middle-grade high, the only change is a steadily growing to-be-read shelf and the autonomy to design a website.
This is Still Gifted & Talented, where I indulge a younger me by unpacking the books I read and how they spark inspiration.
blog
Exploring themes and characters which resonate strongly with me, blogs will be where I unpack the most thought provoking books.
These generally focus on the after effects of a good book: what feelings do they surface, what rabbit holes do they push me down, what does it teach me, or what would I do with the concept?
Ranging from the exploring the possibilities of Sci-Fi futurism and sympathising with the most deranged female-lead-characters for their morally grey decisions, you’ll always find that I have something to say about everything.
reviews
While some books have the power to encourage further exploration, not all do.
Reviews will be glimpses into my initial feelings about a book and where they fall into my reading journey overall. Gather inspiration for your own to-be-read shelf or keep your distance, dependent on how your tastes align to mine.
There is no overall goal, but being thoughtful and thinking critically is very important to me: its an area of skill that I am actively pursuing though this activity. I’ll never be purposefully rude, and all the thoughts I share are my opinion alone.
